3 Canada Metric Commission Pencils

Sold: $9.99 Fees: $1.55 Profit: $8.44

One of the recent auction pickups I did had a box of 23 of these Canada Metric Commission pencils in it. It wasn't an item listed in any of the lots, nor shown in any of the photographs. I had no idea I was getting it. I have no idea why someone would have 23 of these pencils. He must have worked for the Commission and just kept them. I didn't want to sell these 23 times, and I'm not sure I'd find 23 interested people. I decided to list them in lots of 3. I sold this first set in under 24 hours, which is a lot faster than I would have guessed. Even if none of the others sell, this is still essentially free money as I had no idea I was even getting these.

11 Nerf Dart Magazines

Bought: $31.57 Sold: $44.99 Fees: $6.37 Profit: $7.05
Chris's 10% Commission: $0.71

Chris has been picking up bags of Nerf parts whenever he sees them, and they've been sitting in a pile to be listed for months now. I finally am getting around to listing them. These came from a number of different bags, and those bags had other Nerf parts in them. To keep things simple, I've marked the cost of this sale as the majority of the cost of the bags, and then when the rest sells it will have a great profit.

Bravestarr Cardboard Figure Standee

Sold: $39.99 Fees: $5.50 Profit: $34.49

I got these as part of a large toy lot I purchased at auction last year. While I was able to quickly determine these were all figures from an animated 1980's show called Bravestarr, I could not find anything that was released that included these cardboard standees. I have no idea if they were sold like this (seems odd), part of a game, or punched out of the box of an action figure. There were no comps on these either, so I just made up a price. I'm ecstatic that these sold, and that I got $40 for pieces of cardboard that I'm sure most people would have just thrown out.
