Bought: $5.64 Sold: $37.75 Fees: $5.52 Profit: $26.59

I've had this for sale since 2016! I am so glad it finally sold. I would never buy a used puzzle today, and I think this may be the last puzzle I had in my store.

Bought: $0.00 Sold: $29.99 Fees: $4.48 Profit: $25.51

Two annuals of the Pip & Squeak, which was a British cartoon strip. These are both in rough shape, but are hard to come by. Picked these up at a church sale as part of a lot and have long paid off that investment, so this was pure profit.

Garmisch Lapel Pin

O.R.G. Skincare Mineral Peel

Bought: $2.25 Sold: $19.99 Fees: $3.60 Profit: $14.14

McDonald's Pretend Play Food

Bought: $0.00 Sold: $19.99 Fees: $3.28 Profit: $16.71

I found this in my storage while putting some inventory away, and I have no idea why it wasn't listed. This was likely purchased back in 2016. I have no record of it in my database, so I am guessing it was included with something else that I already sold. Anyways, I listed it and it sold within a couple weeks. It's like finding $20 in your pocket when you put on your winter coat for the first time in the fall that you had forgotten about.

Batman Handheld Game

Bought: $4.73 Sold: $14.99 Fees: $1.55 Profit: $8.71
Chris's 10% Commission: $0.87

Chris found this at VV. Not overly valuable, but desirable. It sold quickly. It actually sold to someone local who is going to pick it up tomorrow.

Blade Games Citybook I II III

Bought: $8.00 Sold: $49.99 Fees: $6.94 Profit: $35.05

I found these three Roleplaying Game Guides at a antique/vintage shop in a strip mall in Kingston. I wasn't able to find any comps on eBay, but I knew that RPG books sell and for $8 I was willing to take a risk. I put them up for a high price of $50, and they finally sold! Not too bad, and pays to trust your gut.

Vintage Swix Ski Wax Kit

Bought: $6.78 Sold: $29.99 Fees: $4.30 Profit: $18.91

Picked up this vintage ski wax kit last winter. I wasn't sure if anyone would want it, but it had a great vintage look to it and still had a lot of wax left.

Grandfather's Estate: DVD Set

Sold: $174.99 Fees: $26.89 Profit: $148.10
My 50% Commission: $74.05

I had actually sold this before, but the buyer returned it claiming they purchased it by mistake. How you order a $175 DVD by mistake is beyond me, but regardless they did. When they returned it, however, they used UPS, as opposed to just regular USPS, and as such I was hit with a $60 customs/brokerage fee, which I was not too happy about. So I'm glad this sold again so fast, less than a week after relisting it, but after that $60 hit this is a much less valuable sale.

Marc Spector Moon Knight #10

Sold: $1.99 Fees: $0.73 Profit: $1.26

Another comic from the lot I overpaid for.

Hasbro Logic Puzzle

Sold: $19.99 Fees: $3.00 Profit: $16.99

This is a vintage Hasbro logic puzzle, or at least I believe it is. It came from a lot of logic puzzles that I picked up from an estate sale just down the street from my in-laws. I wasn't able to find anything out about this puzzle online and it had no name on it, just the manufacturer Hasbro. It appears to be a logic puzzle, in that you can remove the bolts and then try to see if you can reassmble the ball by figuring out which bolt goes where. I am shocked this sold, but glad someone found this and wanted it.

Mickey Mouse Pin

Sold: $14.99 Fees: $1.86 Profit: $13.13

This actually isn't from the lot of Disney pins I'm selling for my assistant, but rather from the large lot of pins I purchased at auction in Kingston, so all the profit is mine!

A pin of the National Assembly.

Six Issues of The Ray

Sold: $4.99 Fees: $1.04 Profit: $3.95

Current profit off the comic auction: $2,574.59

1972 Grey Cup CFL Program

Bought: $1.12 Sold: $40.00 Fees: $5.49 Profit: $33.39

I was standing in line at the cash at the VV waiting to pay, and beside the cash is often a stack of children books. I was flipping through them, not really looking, just killing time, when I found this. I have no idea why it was in there, but it was a nice find. I didn't have time to look it, but grabbed it. I had it listed for $50, but took an offer for $40. The person who bought it messaged me saying that he was at the game when he was 14. Very cool.

Grandfather's Estate: Drada Motor Toys

Sold: $50.00 Fees: $9.84 Profit: $40.16
My 50% Commission: $20.08

These two vintage toys used to sit on my grandfather's desk. They are very sun-bleached, but still sold for a great price.

Secret Origins #3

Sold: $14.99 Fees: $2.07 Profit: $12.92

This is a series released by DC in the 70's that reprinted the origins stories of various characters.

Current profit off the comic auction: $2,570.64

This was part of the video game lot.

The Rafler Dice Game

Bought: $4.51 Sold: $39.99 Fees: $5.33 Profit: $30.15

This is a dice game designed by a Danish designer. I have no idea why it's worth anything or why anyone would want it - it is literally just 6 dice in a dome. This sold within a couple hours too, which really shocked me.

Maxim Magazine November 2003

Sale Price: $9.99 Fees: $2.54 Profit: $7.45

Another of the "adult" magazines sold, this one still sealed from 2003!

Tuesday, February 19, 2019

Magilla Gorilla #1

Sale Price: $1.99 Fees: $0.73 Profit: $1.26

This is a comic from 1970, and while in terrible condition, it still sold.

The New Mutants #87

Sale Price: $9.99 Fees: $1.55 Profit: $8.44

This is the first full appearance of Cable, who recently starred in Deadpool 2, but this is the 2nd printing of the issue so not worth as much as the first printing. This came from the lot of comics I overpaid for, which I am still working on making back my investment.

Oxfordshire England Postcard

Sale Price: $1.99 Fees: $0.21 Profit: $1.78

This is a postcard from Oxfordshire England.
