Tele-Story Presents Golden Girl Still Waters Run Dangerous Book

Sold: $49.99 Fees: $6.88 Profit: $43.11

This came out of a lot of children's books I purchased at auction about a month ago. I had no idea this book was in the lot when I purchased it, so that was a very nice surprise.

iClicker 2 Student Remote

Bought: $4.51 Sold: $19.99 Fees: $2.32 Profit: $13.16
Bought: $4.51 Sold: $19.99 Fees: $2.44 Profit: $13.04

Sold two of these two days in a row and both are being sent to University dorm rooms. Now that Universities are going back to in person classes, there is a demand for these again. I pick these up whenever I find them cheap enough, and they are often quick sellers.

Commissioned Sale: McDonald's Pin

Sold: $9.99 Fees: $2.45 Profit: $7.54
My 30% Commission: $2.26

I have very few of the McDonald and Disney pins left, so they aren't selling nearly as fast as they used to, but always nice to see one sell.

Continuing to make good profit off my childhood collection.

Vintage Coleman Camp Stove

Sold: $49.99 Fees: $6.19 Profit: $43.80

This actually sold to someone in Ottawa, but still through eBay. This sale brings us to 2/3 of the way to recouping our investment. It'll be nice to be out of the red and into the black on this locker.

Two Faitfhul Fuzzies RCMP Figures

Bought: $7.90 Sold: $35.00 Fees: $6.69 Profit: $20.41
Chris's 10% Commission: $2.04

I couldn't find any comps on these, but RCMP stuff has always sold well for me. The figure on the horseback was broken as well (he's meant to have a flag in his outreached hand). I listed for $50 and turned on offers, and I was willing to take a $35 offer. A fast sale, and a decent ROI.

Lot of country flags

Sold: $9.99 Fees: $2.23 Profit: $7.76

Not something I would purchase to resell, but they came as part of a lot and so might as well sell as much from lots as I can.

Dymo Labels

Bought: $1.85 Sold: $59.99 Fees: $8.63 Profit: $49.51
Chris's 50% Commission: $4.95

I had 5 sets of 8 boxes. I previously sold two sets to one buyer, which paid for almost all of them. I had another buy come and buy the remaining 3 lots, which is this sale, and so overall I made a profit of almost $50. Not bad at all, and I'm glad I was able to sell all 40 boxes to only two buyers.

Dragon Trap Tomy Pocket Game

Bought: $4.51 Sold: $14.99 Fees: $2.38 Profit: $8.10

I purchased this in 2016 one one of the very few times Robin has come to a thrift store with me. She said this would never sell, and urged me to return it on the drive home. It may have taken five years, but it finally sold and I can now say "I told you so." This was the fourth oldest item in my inventory, so it took a while to sell for sure.

Enid Blyton Noddy All Aboard For Toyland Hardcover Storybooks

Sold: $149.99 Fees: $19.41 Profit: $130.58

This was one of the first things I found when sorting through the boxes. I couldn't beleive how much these sold for. While not a complete set, it is the first 24 volumes of it, and apparently desirable. This sale helps put a nice dent in recovering our investment. This is the 19th item we've sold from the storage locker, and we are more than half way to breaking even.

Vintage Cap'n Pepper & Old Salty Sea Captain Nautical Salt and Pepper Shakers

Sold: $29.99 Fees: $4.44 Profit: $25.55

The previous owner of this locker had a salt and pepper shaker collection, and I only took a few of them to list on eBay (as opposed to selling them as a lot in a local auction) but considering how fast some of these are selling, I may have to look at the others again and see if any are worth putting on eBay.

Pair Of Fire King Jadeite D-Handle Green Coffee Cups

Sold: $49.99 Fees: $8.40 Profit: $41.59

When I found these in a box from the locker, I was really hoping there would be more than two, but even two sell pretty well. We've sold almost $300 worth of items from the locker so far, and that is just on 18 items. I am quite confident that when all is said and done that this will turn out to be a very good investment. I'm eager to get to the break-even point quickly, and then I'll be content to slowly continue to make profit over the next couple years. These early higher price sales are nice as we get closer to that break-even point faster.

Vintage Rexall Pro-Cap Adhesive Tape

Sold: $9.99 Fees: $1.75 Profit: $8.24

This was part of a large random lot I purchased at auction a few years ago. I don't really understand why people would want to collect vintage medical items, but I'm not here to judge. If someone wants it, I'll gladly take their money for it. I can't wait until in-person estate sales are a thing, because most people ignore the bathrooms and medicine cabinet, and you can often find leftover vintage medical items to sell.

Y The Last Man The Deluxe Edition #5

Sold: $19.99 Fees: $5.07 Profit: $14.92

A book from my personal collection that I listed for sale when we moved. Not a huge profit, but it's $15 I can reinvest into comics that I actually want. Not to say that Y: The Last Man isn't a great series, it is, I just have it in a couple of other formats already.

Mackinlay's Old Scotch Whiskey Playing Cards

Bought: $2.36 Sold: $39.99 Fees: $5.63 Profit: $32.00

I don't normally buy decks of cards to flip, but this one caught my attention. There are people who collect vintage alcohol related items, and this deck of cards was made in East Germany, so there adds an extra layer of people who may be interested. I bought this in 2018, but I'll gladly spend $3 and have this shit on my shelf for three years to make a profit of over $30. You can't have a store full of just long-tail items, but when they do sell it's always nice.

Shi Poster

Sold: $14.99 Fees: $2.27 Profit: $12.72
Chris's 50% Commission: $6.36

I have very few posters left from the large buy Chris and I did years ago. I lowered the price on the ones I had left in an effort to finally sell them. This one sold a few days after I lowered the price. I've already made a great ROI on this buy, so just looking to clear out the last of the inventory to make room for new inventory.

Patagonia Kids Hat

Bought: $7.90 Sold: $24.99 Fees: $3.59 Profit: $13.50
Chris's 10% Commission: $1.35

It's hard to pass up Patagonia items as they resell quite well. Unfortunately children's clothing doesn't sell as well as the adult's, but still not a bad profit.

The Cotton Ginny Club Button

Sold: $4.99 Fees: $1.27 Profit: $3.72

Flash Gordon #17

Sold: $14.99 Fees: $2.68 Profit: $12.31

Current profit off the wedding comic auction: $8,558.99

Vintage Magic Cane Games

Bought: $7.89 Sold: $49.99 Fees: $7.09 Profit: $35.01

I actually picked these games up years apart from each other. I had the first one listed by itself, but when I found the second I changed the listing to be both together, figuring anyone who was interested in one would be interested in the other as well. It took a very long time for these to sell - I bought the first one in 2018 - but I knew these would a long-tail item. A rather obscure board game like this needs a very specific buyer, but with time they sold and I'm happy with the profit.

I've this for sale since 2018, so I'm very glad to finally see it sell.

Tele-Story Presents Dragon's Lair

Sold: $49.99 Fees: $6.85 Profit: $43.14

I picked up a lot of children's books at an auction last week, which I was planning on lotting up by series and selling as a few lots. Within the box of books, however, was this one which was not shown in the auction photos. It was is a book that was originally sold with a cassette tape that would read the story so you could follow along. This is a pretty rare book and it's based on a cult-classic laserdisc-based video game. It sold within hours of being listed.
