Marvel Posters Rogue & Wolverine

Sold: $32.00 Fees: $4.22 Profit: $27.78

1953 Welcome to Canada Button

Sold: $4.99 Fees: $1.27 Profit: $3.72

In a recent auction I purchased a lot of Royalty souvenirs. There was a bag with 20 of these pins. If these pins all sell, it'll more than cover the cost of the entire lot.

Street Rodder '89 Magazine

Sold: $4.99 Fees: $1.88 Profit: $3.11

Another of the Hot Rod magazines that I had listed on eBay before I auctioned off the rest.

Popeye & Olive Oyl Salt & Pepper Shakers

Sold: $49.99 Fees: $7.04 Profit: $42.95

The storage locker's previous owner had a large collection of salt and pepper shakers. I still need to go through them closer to determine which ones are worth selling on eBay, but on my first quick glance this was an obvious set to take and list. It sold within a week.

Elastoplast Elastic Adhesive Plaster Tin

Sold: $19.99 Fees: $2.77 Profit: $17.22

Vintage medical items can sell. In the storage locker was an old first aid kit with a number of old medical items which I've listed. These sold in a couple days. $20 isn't bad for a couple old tins of medical tape.

Final Fantasy World Map Nintendo Poster

Sold: $19.99 Fees: $2.33 Profit: $17.66

This was an odd thing to find. The storage locker was clearly the former property of an elderly woman, and so I was quite surprised when I found this poster which was from a video game. There were no other video game items in the locker, unfortunately, so finding this was odd indeed.

Staedtler-Mars 944-25 Engineering Slide Rule

Bought: $3.60 Sold: $29.99 Fees: $4.20 Profit: $22.19
Chris's 10% Commission: $2.22

I've always had pretty good luck with slide rules. This sold within an hour of being listed, so maybe I listed it too cheap, although there is not a huge market for these, so it is quite likely that the right buyer was just looking for it. I've happy with the quick sale and fast profit.

Hunted Detective Story Magazine No 1 December 1954

Sold: $19.99 Fees: $3.21 Profit: $16.78

This was part of the large lot of 110 short story magazines I picked up at a VV a couple years ago. I've long made back my investment, and this was one of the better valued ones.

Talisman of Dominance Magic the Gathering Card

Sold: $4.99 Fees: $1.27 Profit: $3.72

Captain Power Hawk Masterson Lt & Tank Ellis

Sold: $19.99 Fees: $4.45 Profit: $15.54

These were in a lot of random action figures I picked up at an auction a few years ago. I paid $20 for the whole lot, and these were the last ones to sell. I made about $200 overall, which is a pretty good ROI on $20.

Mouse Guard Labyrinth and Other Stories

Sold: $4.99 Fees: $1.51 Profit: $3.48

This was one of the free comics given out on Free Comic Book Day in 2012. I picked it up then, but having no interest in the series put it up for sale. 9 years after I got it for free I made $3! What a ROI!

Chicago Black Hawks Banner

Bought: $2.25 Sold: $9.99 Fees: $2.09 Profit: $5.65
Chris's 10% Commission: $0.57

This wasn't the best pickup, but I still made money. When Chris found this at VV, all I could tell was that it was a Chicago Blackhawks banner. When I did some research I realized that it was given away inside Molson Canadian 24's, and so was never very expensive. At least it sold quickly, and made a small profit.

Chris's 10% Commission: $15.92

While most DVDs aren't worth trying to resell, there are some exceptions. These two box sets of this 1990's animated cartoon are one of those exceptions. Chris found these last week, and I listed them almost immediately and they sold in under a week. Love sales like this.

June 2021 Recap

I sold 21 items.
I spent $122.77 on those items.
I sold those items for $1,022.80
I made a profit of $749.09

From the comic/statue storage locker purchase I did with Chris:
We sold 2 thing for a profit of $14.60, meaning I made a profit of $7.30

From my various auction and storage locker pickups:
I made $138.77 profit.

From my lot of comics:
I sold 28 lots with a profit of $127.52, and I've made an overall profit of: $8,510.45

From my grandfather's estate:
I had 3 sales, and my 50% commission was: $19.76

My total profit this month was $1,042.44

June was another slow month. I barely broke $1,000. Between the usual summer slow down in sales, combined with me not being able to source for over a year now is taking its toll. I'm really hopeful that come fall sales will pick up and I'll be able to source again. I'm expecting sales to continue to be slow for July and August at the very least.
