Bandai Hobby Gundam Models

Bought: $30.00 Sold: $99.99 Fees: $14.15 Profit: $55.84

One of the local thrift stores does online auctions for collectible items, as opposed to putting it on the shelves. This set was a bit pricey, but it had a nice ROI.

Lot of 10 Fuji Camcorder Tapes

Sold: $49.99 Fees: $7.17 Profit: $42.82

This second set sold within 24 hours of the first. This one is off to a camera store in California, so I suspect they will likely resell them at a profit in their store. The other set was off to Toronto, the largest city in the province and only a 5-hour drive away, and yet this set which is off to California cost less to ship than the set to Toronto. The cost of Canada Post really does make it hard to sell items at times.

Lot of 10 Fuji Camcorder Tapes

Bought: $13.54 Sold: $49.99 Fees: $8.91 Profit: $27.54

I bought 20 of these new sealed camcorder tapes at VV in a hanging baggie. I listed them in two lots of 10, and the first one sold, paying for all of them and still leaving a nice profit.

Sold: $39.99 Fees: $7.32 Profit: $32.67

Goosebumps #62 Monster Blood IV

Bought: $1.68 Sold: $44.99 Fees: $8.70 Profit: $34.61

I've known for a while that Goosebumps can have some value, especially the early ones. A couple weeks ago Chris mentioned to me that the last 5 or so in the series are quite valuable as they had low print runs and are thus more rare. I happened to find this one in a VV the next week, and it sold quite quickly too. I'll be keeping an eye out for these key novels in the future for sure.

SeaWorld Shamu January 2004 Lapel Pin

Sold: $19.99 Fees: $3.43 Profit: $16.56

I found this in a free box at the Glebe Garage Sale, but I felt bad taking it for free knowing I was going to sell it, so I gave her a dollar. This sold within minutes of being listed, which is usually a sign that it was listed too low, but considering it was a fast $20 I was happy with it. Almost immediately after I sold it another user contacted me asking me to cancel the sale and sell it to them for $60 - clearly I really did underprice it. I thanked them for their interest but told them that I was going to honour the original sale. They then messaged offering me $100, which I again declined. It sounds like the buyer got a very good deal.
