This is one of the pieces of clothing I bought during my failed experiment to sell used clothing. I realize the photo is terrible, but I could just not get myself to care enough to take a better one or to iron it. I'm so glad it sold! 

Sealed Crewel Embroidery Kit

This is an embroidery kit I picked up at the Glebe garage sale last year, and it has been sale for over 18 months. It finally sold to a buyer in the UK. Sealed embroidery and cross stitch can do quite well, and this one was the 1980's and so was a vintage pattern. If you can get them cheap enough, they are worth picking up.

Montreal Expo 67 Coffee Table Book

While I typically ignore the books when I go sourcing, I do tend to keep an eye out for coffee table books as some are valuable. This was a coffee table book from Expo 67, and it was in great condition (minus some wear to the box it came in). A great thing to sell in Canada's 150th, and so I priced it high. It had a lot of watchers and eventually sold to someone in Montreal today. A nice ROI on this book.

McDonald's Happy Meal Toy Lego Helicopter

This was one of the items I got in the hanging baggies of McDonald's items. This is a happy meal toy from the 1980s of a Lego helicopter. It included the original box, the instructions, the bag it came in and all the LEGO pieces. I already made back my investment on all the McDonald's hanging baggies, so this was pure profit, but during the month of October, Canada Post is running a promotion for small business owners (which I'm technically classified as) that provides free shipping of one parcel within Canada every Tuesday for the month. So as long as I make a sale within Canada every Tuesday this month I'll make a profit on whatever the shipping costs was. I used my first Tuesday's free shipping for this item as it is off to Toronto, so I made an extra $10 from the shipping.

Lot of 6 Sluggy Freelance book

This is a lot of 6 comic books that reprint an online daily webcomic called Sluggy Freelance. The webcomic was eventually collected in book form, and these are the first 6. The comic was quite popular at one time, I'm not sure how popular it still is. That being said, these books have been out of print for a while, and most of them were not on eBay so I was asking $100 for the lot, but took an offer of $80 which was still a great ROI. I actually used to read Sluggy for years. When I was in computer class in high school, I was way ahead of the rest of the class, and the teacher got tired of me talking to either him or the other students, and made me a deal that I could just sit through class and not disturb anyone he would give me an A. To help out, he introduced me to Sluggy and told me to read them all. At that point there were only a few years worth of comics, but I was hooked and I read it for years afterwards, up until the end of undergrad and then slowly stopped checking. I haven't read it in years now, but I enjoyed it at the time and it made me aware that these books would be a good buy.
