These are three sets of "un-candles" by Pyrex from the 70's. The "candles" are just small wicks that sit in some oil (vegetable) on water. The fire comes from the burning of the oil, and they are reusable since you just had to replace the oil. A cheap substitute for real candles, and because it is made by Pyrex it is collectible. I think, also, that people may use them just as vases. This was a set of three candles - a 5", 7" and 9" set - so I think that helped it sell.
