March 30th - Guilty Gear X Baiken Figure
Sold for: $250.00 Fees: $36.43
Sold for: $250.00 Fees: $36.43
This was a figure that I had up for $500 and it was the only one on eBay. Today I got an offer of $250, and so I checked eBay and one sold recently for $250, and considering I just made up the price, figured that was a fair price. It's nice to sell one for this price. This is now officially our most profitable month from this lot.
The Numbers:
Initial Cost: $2,000
Number of items sold in March: 14
Number of items sold overall: 77
Gross Profit for March: $1,017.95
Fees to eBay: $159.86
Net Profit for March: $858.09
Net Overall Profit: $2283.53
Chris and I have recouped our initial investment, and each made a profit of $1141.76
March 3rd - WildStorm Fine Arts The Gallery Collection
Sold for: $24.99 Fees: $4.93
This is a collection of artwork from Wildstorm comics. I am actually pretty surprised this sold since artwork books don't tend to sell that well and Wildstorm is a smaller comic house. That being said, always glad to see a sale.
Sold for: $19.99 Fees: $4.50
This was a Marvel comic, #1 in a limited series, which would normally have not much value at all. The only reason I priced it the way that I did was that this is a variant cover drawn by Greg Capullo, who is rather popular and I was hoping that would draw someone to this comic and it seems to have worked.
March 7th - Two Marvel Posters
Sold for: $325.00 Fees: $44.79
Sold two of these large vintage Marvel posters to the same buyer. I had these listed for $200 each, and took an offer of $175 and $150. These are great sales and I'm glad I listed them so high. When Chris and I were going through the locker contents, I knew that these posters were some of the best finds. We had three of these large Marvel posters, and I've already sold the third for $200. All in, these three posters made us back 1/4 the cost of the locker - one three pieces of paper!
March 9th - Vertigo Death Poster
Sold for: $35.00 Fees: $6.37
Another poster sale, this one of Death from the Vertigo series Sandman. A very nice poster, and not a terrible price.

March 12th - Lot of 21 Dynamic Forces Comics
Sold for: $10.00 Fees: $3.70
When Chris and I sorted the comics we had a number of ones that weren't worth selling on their own, or were duplicates. We decided instead of throwing them out we would list them for cheap as one lot of 21 comics. I listed them for $20 but took an offer of $10 because we just wanted them gone and wanted to sell everything in the storage locker and not have to throw anything away. Each of these comics were a Dynamic Forces limited edition. When the originally owner bought these in the 90's he would have paid between $5-20 for each one of these comics. This is the epitome of the 90's speculation bubble, and is a great example of why even limited edition comics aren't worth much - it doesn't matter how rare or unique a comic is, you need someone who wants it. The buyer sells comics on eBay so he will likely resell these which is fine, if he can find a way to make a profit on these more power to him
March 17th - Evil Ernie #1 Limited Edition Variant
March 17th - Evil Ernie #1 Limited Edition Variant
Sold for: $14.99 Fees: $3.06
This is the first issue of Evil Ernie, a series by Chaos Comics from the 1990's. It was recently relaunched, which probably helped making this sale. This was a limited edition variant cover. $15 for a comic is always nice, and while the comics are selling slowly they continue to add up.
March 18th - Two Marvel X-Men Posters
Sold for: $80.00 Fees: $12.63
Sold two Marvel X-Men posters to the same guy (one for $25 and one for $55). The one on the left was one of the worst damaged posters (was squished while rolled up) and we had two of them and sold both now. The one on the right was in pretty good shape, and is a good graphic.
Sold for: $33.00 Fees: $6.61
Another poster sold! These have been selling quite well. We should have listed these sooner.
March 26th - Three WWE DIVAS Magazines
Sold for: $29.99 Fees: $5.30
These were three WWW Divas magazines. Wouldn't normally have thought these would sell, but figure it couldn't hurt to lot them together, plus I wanted to attempt to sell everything in the locker and throw nothing out. They sold for a pretty good price for old magazines.
March 26th - Witchblade Mini Statue
Sold for: $80.00 Fees: $11.32
Another statue sold! It's been a while since a statue sold, so I'm glad to see another moving.
Sold for: $30.00 Fees: $5.17
With this sale, we have now officially doubled our investment! We have now netted back our initial $2,000 investment and made an additional $2,000 profit! There is still a lot of stuff to sell, and so this is not even close to being the end point. $2,000 was a lot to invest into one lot when I had no real clear idea on how well the items would sell, but I trusted my gut and it has paid off.
March 27th - Lady Death Poster
Sold for: $24.99 Fees: $5.53
Glad to see some of the posters of more obscure characters selling. These don't bring in the same high dollars as the Marvel ones, but they are still selling and I'm happy to see them flying out the door.

As I've learned, vintage sailor moon stuff is collectible and can fetch a high price. This poster had a lot of watchers and a lot of offers, but it took a while to get one I was satisfied with. This posted was badly damaged - it's made out of thick cardstock and was bent quite badly while rolled up and they have creased - and would been worth a lot more had it been in mint shape. That being said, very glad to get this price for it.
