Commissioned Sale: 2 Cap'n Crunch Crazy Bones

Sale Price: $19.99 Fees: $3.96 Profit: $16.03
My commission: $0.00

Chris was going through some boxes of stuff from his childhood that my parents wanted out of storage. He found these two little toys which were given away from free in Cap'n Crunch cereal in the 90's. They are crazy bones, a toy fad at the time. Chris asked me to sell them, but I was doubtful they would. I spent the few minutes it took to photograph and list them, and threw up what I thought was a high price of $20. They sold within half an hour! I was shocked. I'm worried I sold them too cheap, but they are just toys! Since this took me no time at all, and since I might have priced them too cheap, I'm not going to take any commission. Chris can have the full $16.

10 Doctor Who Classic Comics

Sold: $85.00 Fees: $10.15 Profit: $74.85

A lot of 10 Doctor Who comics. A very nice return on these. Also, this sale made the lot these comics came from profitable, bringing my total of profitable lots up to 20 out of 32! Not too shabby.

The comic would be worth a lot more if it was in better condition, but this copy is water damaged and damaged. Still a great price for the comic.

Chris' Comics: Batman #200

Sale Price: $44.99 Fees: $8.53 Profit: $36.46

A few years ago Chris purchased a large lot of comics off of someone on Kijij for $2k with the intention of flipping them. Life, however, got in the way, and now with two kids he has little time to sell them. I've offered to help, and recently sent a number of them off to be slabbed and graded by CGC. I've also started to list some of them for him. We haven't yet figured out the commission rate for these, so for now I'm just going to hold the profit in trust. This is the first issue to sell, an older Batman comic from 1968. A nice start for these comics.

Sold: $124.99 CGC Cost: $38.00 Fees: $14.35 Profit: $72.64

I finally got all the comics I sent off to be graded and slabbed back. This was the first one I've sold. It cost me just under $40 to get this one graded and slabbed, which was a worthwhile investment, since unslabbed I probably could only have sold this for $40-$45.

Current profit off the comic auction: $1,559.84
