Sold: $425.00 Fees: $58.97 Profit: $366.03
This was in a lot of toys I bought at auction. In the auction photos it was inside a box, and very difficult to see. I spent a few hours trying to identify it from the limited photo angels, and I finally realized what I thought it was, and thankfully I was right. This is a mechanical toy made in 1923 and was only sold in the United States and only until 1925. The airship it was modeled on blew up in 1925 and they promptly stopped the sales of the toy. This was also the first toy sold by Lehmann. Overall a rare and collectible piece. I could find very little about its value online, so I listed it really high at $750 and was accepting offers. I'm happy with what I got. This single sale not only paid for the entire lot it was in, but also for every lot I purchased that day - and still left a profit. A pretty good sale to start off the month.
