2 Nerf N-Strike 18 Max Round Dart Ammo Clip

Bought: $6.78 Sold: $19.99 Fees: $2.92 Profit: $10.29

I picked up a baggie of 3 of these ammo clips at VV for $6, I put one in a gun I then sold, and listed the ammo clip that came with that gun on its own (which is yet to sell but will be pure profit when it does), and then sold the remaining two clips by themselves here and made $10 profit. Nerf stuff can sell, and being able to sell the gun without the expensive attachment allowing me to sell it on its own just increased my profit margin.

City of Windsor Coat of Arms Pin

Bought: $3.38 Sold: $4.99 Fees: $1.24 Profit: $0.37
Chris' 5% Commission: $0.02

Chris has found a number of bags of pins recently, and I've enjoyed listing them. They are easy to store, photograph, list and ship. The only problem is that shipping, either in Canada or the US, often doubles the price of the pin. This was one of about 20 pins from the bag, but the sale of this pin paid for the whole bag, so the rest is gravy. This is a pin of the coat of arms for the City of Windsor, Ontario. It was bought by someone in Texas...

Fredericton Trade Dollar

Bought: $1.60 Sold: $4.99 Fees: $0.62 Profit: $2.77

When I was in Moncton I made two visits to the VV there, and one the second occasion I found a hanging baggie of 4 collectible coins that with tax cost $1.60. I bought it because it contained a Disney Expo coin that sells for around $20, but I figured I might as well list the other coins too. This was the first one to sell, and paid for the whole bag and still made a profit. This is a Fredericton Trade Coin from 1980. It allowed the user to spend it as a dollar coin in the City of Fredericton for the year 1980. I'm not quite sure what the purpose of this was, but it looked interesting, and a few others were for sale on eBay. Not surprisingly, someone bought it from Fredericton.

Gamma World Board Game

Bought: $7.50 Sold: $129.86 Fees: $13.66 Profit: $108.70

This was one of the board games I bought in that giant lot off the guy on Kijiji last year. It was the most expensive game of the lot. This is the first edition, but third printing, of Gamma World, an early Science Fiction RPG game from TSR (the makers of Dungeons & Dragons). I've had this up for almost a year and it has consistently had more than 2 watchers, but never any offers. I got a message on Canada Day saying that he wanted to buy it, but that Paypal wouldn't let him use his credit on foreign currency (I guess he wanted to use his Paypal credit as opposed to a credit card). This was an odd issue that I'd never heard of before, and I'm sure was just a misunderstanding on his part. That being said, he said if I would list it in USD, as opposed to CDN, he would buy it and he would pay the $99 USD (I had it listed for $99 CDN). So, I was going to make an extra $30 just to convert the currency my listing was in. It was a bit more work than that, since last year eBay removed the abilitiy to list in USD on ebay.ca, so I had to login to ebay.com and list it there. It took maybe 5 minutes of work, but he bought it. So not only did it finally sell at a great price, I actually made an extra $30. Not bad at all.

Play-Doh Cookie Monster

Bought: $5.64 Sold: $80.00 Fees: $8.81 Profit: $66.68

I've had this one listed for a while, it was complete with box except it only had 25 of the 26 letters. After the other one of mine sold last week, I lowered the price slightly on this one and it sold within days. I might have made $10 more had I waited longer, but I'll sacrifice the $10 to make $66 now and get one more item out of storage.

Commissioned Sale: Disney McDonald's Staffing Pin

Sale Price: $24.99 Fees:$4.92 Profit: $20.07
My 30% cut of the Profit: $6.02

This is a McDonald's pin that reads "staffing" across the golden arches with Owl from Winnie the Pooh hanging below it. The back read Disney Tokyo. I'm guessing this pin was made for staff at the McDonald's at the Disney Tokyo park. I set a high price since it seemed unique and I couldn't find any others like it. Not a bad price for a single pin.

June 2017 Recap

I sold 40 items.
I spent $216.67 on those items.
I sold those items for $1,459.49
I paid $158.91 in fees to eBay.
I made a profit of $1,083.91

I sold 12 things on consignment and made $35.16

From my Flipping Experiment with Chris:
We sold 4 items
We sold these items for $104.97
We paid $30.01 in fees to eBay.
We made a profit of $74.96 - meaning $37.48 each

My total profit this month was $1,156.55

I am a bit surprised how much I made in June, clearing over 1k in the summer. The summer is usually much less busy for online shipping generally as people are outside more, on vacation, and just generally spending money on other things. I did a lot better than May, which was nice to see. I was back in town and able to list a lot more, which likely helped with sales, and I finally have over 1,000 items in my store which also likely helps. Here's hoping that this trend continues into July.
