This summer Chris was in Cornwall for the weekend visiting friends and he went to this garage sale and found that the owner used to run a used book store and had 100's of comic book posters from the 1980's and 1990's that had never been hung. These posters, however, were all promotional posters, and were shipped to stores folded (not rolled). He didn't have much cash on him, so he bought what he could. He offered to pay for them and take 30% of the profits. I was quite impressed with the posters and Chris said he had 100's more, so a few weeks later on the way back from Montreal from my bachelor weekend we stopped in to see if I could buy the rest as one lot. I was prepared to start my offer of $500. He wasn't home, but a friend's parents who knew him inquired later in the week and apparently he had just sold them all for $200. That hurt... oh well, lesson learned. When you see a good deal, jump on it! Or someone else will.
