Unusual Comics #6

Sold: $249.99 Fees: $27.43 Profit: $222.56

This is a comic from the recent Kemptville auction pickup. This is an unusual comic (no pun intended). It was published by Bell Features, which was a Canadian comic company that published reprints of American comics before and during WW2 since American comics were not being sold in Canada. After the war ended, American comics flooded back into the market and Bell Features folded. Some early Bell Features, called Canadian Whites, are quite valuable and quite rare. This comic was likely released in 1951, near the end of Bell Features life, and was a reprint of a Marvel comic from that year. That being said, Bell Features comics are quite rare. This issue was in rough shape, but complete. I listed it for $250, and it sold within minutes. I'm wondering how much more they would have paid, but still, $250 for a single comic is an amazing price, and considering I only paid $50 for the lot of 100 comics and already made back my investment, this is pure profit so I'll take it. A great start to August!
